Step One Halfway House Couldn’t exist without its treasured supporters. 100% of your donation goes towards funding our programs, from raising money to volunteering or simply spreading the word – only you can help us fulfill our mission. We value every contribution, big or small. Every donation we receive is cherished and used wisely. Our ongoing mission is to provide long-term solutions to the homeless members of our Phoenix community by supporting our cause, you are contributing to a healthier, happier, and more successful society.

Donations Needed

While monetary donations allow us to purchase exactly what is needed, donations of clothing, hygiene items, furniture, food, supplies, and appliances are also appreciated! We use each donation to its fullest capacity in our pursuit to be mindful and respectful of each contribution.


All items can be dropped off at 9636 N 11th Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85021. Our team is also happy to come and help you haul away larger donation items. Give us a call at 602-749-5434 to schedule a time for our team to come and pick up a donation of furniture, appliances, or any other heavy-lifting items.

In-Kind Needs


Urgent Need:


  • Toiletries (full-size and travel-size shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste, deodorant, razors, personal care items)
  • Underwear (men's, all sizes)
  • Toilet paper
  • Bath towels
  • Paper towels
  • Sheets (twin and full)
  • Pots and pans
  • Cleaning supplies
  • Flip flops
  • Gym shorts for men
  • Moving boxes and packing tape


Always Need:


  • Gift cards: Grocery stores, general merchandise stores, etc.
  • Laundry supplies (detergent, fabric softener, etc.)
  • Plungers
  • Shower curtains
  • Bed linens, pillows, blankets
  • Dishes and utensils
  • Laundry baskets
  • Trash bags
  • Non-perishable food (unexpired)

100% of your donation goes to funding our programs, we make donating easy! You can make a monetary donation online or drop off Cash, Money Orders, or Checks (written to “Step One Halfway House”) to 9636 N 11th Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85021.

Donate a vehicle together, let us make a positive impact in our community, one car at a time. Your generosity and kindness will help us achieve more and touch more lives. We are grateful for your support. This convenient alternative to selling or trading in your old vehicle is 100% tax-deductible, and we do all the work. Your old car may be unwanted to you, but when you donate it to Step One Halfway House you will have a direct impact on the homeless and those who suffer from substance use disorder in our state.

    Planned giving is exactly what it sounds like: creating a structured method to donate to Step One Halfway House over time or in the future.
